Don’t prepare your emotions
You can’t know how to react in a scene until you have truly been affected by what you heard, seen, or felt. Do not prepare your emotional choices. There should not be an emotional choice. Emotions can not be prepared and locked before you start. You can only do and be. You must always be actively present. It is the only way to hear and feel the moment to moment words and actions of your scene partners. I can’t be actively reactionary unless I get out of my head. In our heads we always want to do more. It’s what our minds were made for.. Worrying about fear! The fear of not knowing our line or not being enough! YOU ARE ENOUGH!
